In this review we present you a new release of the German newcomers, two young students who sign themselves as Innellea. For some time now, these guys are one of the biggest sensations of the Munich nightlife performing regularly in clubs like KONG and Harry Klein, on Autonomica parties where the tapes that we present here have already become very recognizable and desirable. EP, released on Musica Autonomica, with four original tracks and remixes done by Marco Resmann and Upercent, already gained support from the names like: Acid Pauli, Shir Khan, Dixon, Marcus Worgull, AME, Rafael da Cruz, Sascha Cawa, Laurent Garnier, Rueda Hagelstein, SvenDoors, Martin Landsky …
Title track, Saladin, with few different kinds of thin percussions cultivated processed with reverb and delay effects gavea special charm to this great track. Melodic and very greasy bass line goes perfectly with all kinds of intoxicating chords and analog arps.
Next in line is Obsidian, the track that we were listening to when we decided to study little more about work of these guys. Deep house in its finest form. Sophisticated combination of somewhat aggressive rhythm section and the fairy-tale kind of chords, so beautifully composed, processed with light distortion, perfect for the most romantic festival morning. Build up breaks bring with them the most desirable tension in the world while the percussive fxs make a listener to remember the most beautiful moments of his childhood.
First remix of the title track, Saladin, is done by Upon. You label representative, also resident of the famous Berlin club Watergate, Marco Resmann. More danceable adaptation is concerned, just enough to get music from this release pleyed in a variety of situations while leaves a remarkable impression on all present. Very interesting chords, with a little higher amplitude in combination with a bumpy bass line makes superior fun in the club.
Next one is called Noxe. It provides a powerful sub bass groove that we all adore. As in previous tracks, there are melodic arps accompanied by harmonious chords, just perfect for partying with the nicer half. Many surprises in composition and in the concept of the track, with unpredictable, ultra interesting breaks, constantly changing the cutoff filters on all mid elements. Great!
Fresia is the name of the next one. Again we have a nice sub bass line that drives forever. Epic distorted chords again, but this time in combination with 4/4 minimalist synths that puts a big smile on your face.
Another remix for Saladin arrived from Valencia, from the internayonally known producer Upercent. Spaniard’s light intro introduces us to his world quite concrete. Powerful kicks accompanied starting fxs, very nice and small percussion stacked hat rolls, from whose arising scariest fxs lead us to the romantic synth melody into balance with the world. Soundscapes made of thin pluck sounds discomfort while maintaining background drops soothe and relax.
All of you who like to keep up with the latest news from the world of the finest electronic music should urgently pay attention to these two guys who started to release their music this year. Based on what we’ve heard so far and, judging by the names with which they cooperate, they will have a very good career. Release we have presented is released on vinyl since February the 5th, while the music in digital format will be available from February the 22nd.
